Terms & Conditions

Introduction 

Welcome to JDSKILLSCHOOL. By registering and participating in our coaching sessions, you (the parent/guardian) agree to the following terms and conditions. These terms outline the rules and expectations for the services we provide, and help ensure the safety and enjoyment of participants.

 

Services Provided

We provide coaching for children between the ages of 6 to 10 including but not limited to:

  • Regular weekly training sessions

  • Future offerings may include football camps and private coaching lessons as our program expands.

Currently all sessions are held at EXMOUTH COMMUNITY COLLEGE and last approximately 1 hour. The specific dates, times and age groups for each session will be available on our website https://www.jdskillschool.com  and changes will be communicated to parents/guardians in advance where possible. 

We may offer additional sessions or programs in the future, and any updates will be available on our website. 

 

Payment and Registration 

Payment must be made in full at the time of registration via website (jdskillschool@gmail.com). Any payments made are non-refundable, except under exceptional circumstances (sessions cancelled through unforeseen circumstances by owner or severe weather warnings). 

To register your child for our services, you must complete the pre-session questionnaire and provide all requested information, including medical details, emergency contact details and consent. This form will be emailed to you after payment via the website. 

 

Health and Safety

You must provide accurate and complete medical information regarding your child’s health. This includes any existing medical conditions, allergies, or medication they are taking. Failure to provide this information will result in your child being unable to participate in the session. They will be denied entry to the session and no refund will be issued. 

In the event of an emergency, you consent to JDSKILLSCHOOL administering first aid or seeking medical attention for your child if necessary. You will be notified as soon as possible. 

While every effort is made to ensure safety, participation in football activities involves a risk of injury. By agreeing to these terms, you acknowledge that your child is physically fit and able to participate in physical activity.

 

Code of Conduct

All participants are expected to behave respectfully towards coaches, fellow players, and others present. We have a zero tolerance for inappropriate behaviour such as bullying, violence, or disrespectful conduct. If your child’s behaviour is deemed unacceptable, they may be asked to leave the session/program without a refund. 

Participants must take care of all coaching equipment and venue. Equipment is to be returned to coaches at the end of all sessions. 

 

Parental Responsibilities 

Parents/guardians are responsible for ensuring their child is dropped off and picked up at the designated times. JDSkillSchool is not responsible for any child outside of the scheduled times. Parents are welcome to stay during the session however we ask they do not get involved with anything during the session including coaching. 

Parents must ensure their child has the correct equipment for the sessions, this includes; a water bottle, football boots (preferably moulded football boots), appropriate football kit, shin pads, as well as weather related clothing (gloves/hat, suncream, etc when required). Parents also need to ensure children have any medication they may require eg. EpiPens, inhalers. 

It is your responsibility to keep your contact details up to date. In case of an emergency, we must be able to reach you or a designated emergency contact. 

 

Photography and Media

By registering and indicating during the pre-session form. You consent to photographs or videos of your child being taken during the sessions for promotional purposes (website, social media, advertising, etc.). If you do not want your child’s image used, please inform us whilst completing the form. 

Any photos or videos taken will be the property of JDSKILLSCHOOL. 

 

Insurance and Liability 

JDSKILLSCHOOL holds both Public Liability Insurance and Professional Indemnity Insurance to ensure a high standard of protection for all participants, coaches and third parties involved in our sessions.

  • Public Liability Insurance covers us in the event of injury to a third party or damage to property occurring during our coaching sessions due to our negligence 

  • Professional Indemnity Insurance protects us against claims arising from any professional advice, coaching, or services we provide that may inadvertently cause a loss or injury

These insurances provide important coverage for unforeseen circumstances. While we make every effort to ensure the safety of participants, JDSKILLSCHOOL is not liable for any injury, loss, or damage to persons or property during coaching sessions. 

Participation in the sessions is entirely voluntary, and by attending, you accept full responsibility for your child’s involvement.

 

Termination and Refunds

If you choose to withdraw your child from the session, no refund will be given unless under exceptional circumstances, such as injury or illness, supported by medical documentation. 

JDSKILLSCHOOL reserves the right to terminate participation in the session if:

  • The child’s behaviour is disruptive, unsafe or goes against our code of conduct.

  • The parent/guardian fails to provide accurate or updated information.

  • The child’s safety or wellbeing is at risk. 

 

Privacy Policy 

All personal and medical information collected during the registration process will be kept confidential and used solely for the purpose of providing coaching services.

We comply with all relevant data protection laws and will not share your information without consent, unless required by law.

Confidentiality Regarding Current Exeter City FC Players

JD SkillSchool operates independently and maintains a respectful and professional relationship with Exeter City Football Club. As such, we are unable to formally discuss the status, development, or ongoing involvement of any players currently registered with Exeter City FC. Any enquiries regarding players linked to the club must be directed to Exeter City FC directly. This policy ensures confidentiality and maintains the integrity of our coaching environment and external relationships.

 

Amendments

JDSKILLSCHOOL reserves the right to modify or amend these Terms and Conditions at any time. 

Parents/guardians will be notified of any significant changes, and continued participation in our sessions will constitute acceptance of the updated terms.
